The grounding conductor (described above) must be grounded to earth at the
service equipment or, if supplied by a separate system, at the supply transformer
or motor-generator set.
The attachment plug receptacles must be of a grounding type. The grounding
conductors serving these receptacles are to be connected to earth ground at the
service equipment.
Connecting a Sun Monitor
Sun™ monitors are designed to operate with single-phase power systems having a
grounded neutral conductor. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not plug Sun
monitors into any other type of power system.
Caution – To reduce the risk of electric shock, always power the monitor using a
grounding type (3-wire) power cord and a grounded wall outlet.
Note – Contact your facilities manager or a qualified electrician if you are unsure of
the type of power supplied to your building.
Cables
All cables provided with the equipment are designed to reduce RFI emissions. For
regulatory compliance reasons, these cables must be used and must not be replaced
by any other cables.
