Circuit Breakers
When the system is powered on, there is 48 VDC available at the circuit breakers.
This does not create an electric shock hazard, however, there is considerable energy
in these circuits. When servicing a circuit breaker using the hot swap procedure, use
caution to prevent any bare circuit breaker terminals or exposed wire terminals from
coming in contact with the frame.
Power Cord
Your Enterprise 10000 cabinet should be operated from the type of power source
indicated on the electrical rating label provided on the equipment. The Ultra
Enterprise System cabinet power cords must be connected to dedicated branch
circuits of the proper current capacity.
Note – If you are not sure of the type of power available, consult your facilities
manager, qualified electrician, or the Enterprise 10000 System Site Planning Guide.
Caution – All power cords for components of the Enterprise 10000 cabinet must be
plugged into the AC sequencer; they must not be routed outside the cabinet.
Caution – The Enterprise 10000 cabinet has high leakage current to ground.
The following instructions must be strictly observed to reduce the risk of electric
shock:
For operating voltage between 200V and 240V, a NEMA L6-30P plug is provided
for North American operation, and a 32A, single phase, IEC 309 connector is
provided for European operation. If an appropriate mating receptacle is not
available in your country, the plug can be removed from the cord. The cord can be
permanently connected to a dedicated branch circuit by a qualified electrician.
Check local electric codes for proper installation requirements.
An insulated grounding conductor must be installed as part of the branch circuit
that supplies the equipment. This grounding conductor must be identical in size,
insulation material, and thickness to the neutral grounded and hot ungrounded
branch-circuit supply conductors, except that it is green (with or without one or
more yellow stripes).
