Casette deck related problems (K-32/22)
[ Symptom
No power is supplied.
No sound

The auto reverse function does not
work even if the mode switch is set in
the cp position.

@ The head is magnetized.
@ Your tape could also be the source of the
problem if it is old for example which creates
unwanted noise.
@ The recorded tape has sound distortion.

@ The head, pinch roller and capstan shaft are
dirty.
@ The tape has been wound up tightly.
@ You are playing the tape recorded by Dolby
NR with Dolby NR off.
@ The head is dirty.
@ You are playing a tape with Dolby NR which
has been recorded without Dolby NR.
@ Erase the magnetism. (Refer to page 27,
"Demagnetizing")
@ Replace the tape with a new one.

@ Test if the recorded tape has distortion by
comparing it with another tape.
@ Insert the flat cord properly.
@ Keep it away from the noise source, or turn
the TV power off.
@ Clean them. (Refer to page 27, "Cleaning")
@ Rewind the tape fast.
@ Select Dolby NR with the switch and play-
back. (Dolby NR B or C)
@ Clean the head. (Refer to page 27)
@ Playback without Dolby NR.
