Tape playback
. Set the TIMER stand-by switch to OFF.
2 Set the POWER switch to ON.
3. Press the eject button (4) to open the cassette com-
partment and load a cassette.
4. Select Dolby B or C NR with DOLBY NR switches to
play back a tape recorded with Dolby NR.
5. Press the forward play (>) or reverse play (<1) key to
play back the desired side.
6. Adjust the sound level with the volume control of the
amplifier or receiver.
Forward DPSS selection
When the tune you want to listen to is before or after
the current tune with the tape running, just pressing the
fast forward
(>)
or fast reverse
(<J<J) key several
times selects the desired tune.
1. When the desired tune is before the current tune,
press the fast reverse
key (<I<J). The number
of
tunes that will be skipped will equal the number of
times the key is pressed. When the fast reverse key
(<1<J) is pressed once, the tape is rewound to the
beginning of the current tune. When the desired tune
is the fourth one before the current tune, press the
fast reverse key (<1<J) 5 times.
2. To select a previous tune, press the fast forward key
(tC). The number of tunes that will be skipped will
equal the numberof times the key is pressed.
When the fast forward key (>>) is pressed once,
the tape is rapidly advanced to the beginning of the
next tune. When the desired tune is the fourth one af-
ter the current tune, press the fast forward key (>i)
4 times.

Reverse DPSS selection
Whenthe tune you want to listen to is before or after the
current tune with the tape running, in the reverse direc-
tion, just pressing the fast forward ([>C>) or fast reverse
(<1<J) key several times selects the desired tune.
1. When the desired tune is before the current tune,
press the fast forward
key (>t). The number of
tunes that will be skipped will equa! the number of
times the key is pressed. When the fast forward key
(f>C>) is pressed once, the tape is rewound to the
beginning of the current tune. When the desired tune
is the fourth one before the current tune, press the
fast forward key (> C>) 5 times.

Auto reverse playback
1. Set the REVERSE MODE switch to the reverse mode
(a):
2. Press the forward play (>) key. Both. sides of cas-
sette will be played back.
Both side repeat playback
1. Set the REVERSE MODE switch to the endless mode
{ C)>°).
2. Press the forward play (>) or reverse play (<J) key
according to the direction of tape travel.
3. Both sides are played continuously.
Index scan
1. Press the INDEX SCAN key. The tape is rapidly adc-
anced while the beginning of each tune
is played
back for about 10 seconds.
2. When
the desired tune is found, press the forward
play (>) or reverse play (<1) key according to the di-
rection of tape travel.
Note:
The direction of the index scan is indicated by the direction indicators
(<Jt>). To changes the direction of index scan, press the forward
play (>) or reverse play (<1) key, then press the INDEX SCAN key.
