@® INDEX SCAN key
Press this key to select the desired tune. When this key
is pressed, the beginning of each tune is played back for
about 10 seconds. When the desired tune is reached,
press the forward play (>>) or reverse play (<1) key ac-
cording to the direction indicated by direction indicators
(<>).

1. The direction of the index scan is indicated by the direction indica-
tors (<dt>). To change the index scan direction, press the forward
play (>) or reverse play (<I) key.
2. The index scan is repeated for sides A and B in the reverse mode
(2D) and in the endless mode (C7) and stopped at the end of
side B.
® Forward play key (>)
Press to play the tape in the forward direction (side A).
® DOLBY NR* Switches
Press this switch to play back a tape recorded with Dol-
by B or C NR or to record a tape with Dolby B or C NR.
Use the left switch to activate the Dolby NR and the
right switch to select Dolby B or C NR.

® Fast forward key (>>)
Press to rapidly advance
the tape. When
this key is
pressed during playback, tunes are skipped in the for-
ward direction each time the key is pressed.
@ DOLBY NR indicators
One
of these indicators lights when
the DOLBY
NR
switch is pressed. When Dolby B or C NR is selected,
the B indicator or the C indicator lights.

@ MIC jacks
Plug your low impedance microphone(s) into these jacks.
Use the REC LEVEL controls to adjust proper recording
levels.

Recording through the LINE IN cables is not possible when micro-
phones are plugged into the MIC jacks. Disconnect the microphones
before recording from LINE sources.
@ PHONES jack
Plug stereo headphones into this jack to monitor record-
ings or tape playback.
@ REC/LINE IN jacks
Connect to the Tape Rec jacks of your amplifier or re-
ceiver using the audio cables (supplied).
@® PLAY/LINE OUT jacks
Connect to the Tape Play jacks of your amplifier or re-
ceiver using the audio cables (supplied).

Connect to the synchro connector of the audio compo-
nents as shown in the Fig. 4 and 5.
® Jack ® (Synchro for the system components)
Connect
to the jack "CASSETTE"
of the receiver
