* Please pay attention to the power consumption of the pump. It may be necessary to connect
the pump via a supplementary relay/load relay, e. g. CLR and to set the minimum revolution
speed to 100%.
( ) value in brackets is the recommended sensor position on the sensor terminal block of the
CPS....... storage tank.

The controller compares the temperature at sensor S1 with the temperature at sensor S2. If the
measured temperature difference is larger than the preset switch-on temperature difference,
the pump (R1) will be switched on, the primary circuit heats up. At the same time, the tempera-
ture difference between S5 and S2 is determined and compared with the switch-on temperature
for the secondary pump of external heat exchangers, which can be separately preset. If this
temperature difference exceeds the set value, the pump (R4) is switched on and the storage tank
will be loaded until the set maximum temperature of the storage tank is reached.
The speed control of the solar circuit pump always tries to run at the optimum operating point to
use the solar heat as efficiently as possible.
Using the temperature sensors 7, 8 and 9, the activated control of the COSMO RMS compact
group activates a mixed return flow temperature maintenance and a maximum return limiter
(R5/R6). The controller compares the storage tank temperature (S7) and the unmixed return
temperature of the heating circuit (S8). If the moderate temperature is higher than the switch-on
temperature difference, the COSMO RMS function is activated and heat from the tank is added
to the heating return. The controller tries to increase the return temperature by +15 K (value
adjustable). A maximum return temperature of 60 °C (value adjustable) will not be exceeded to
ensure an efficient discharge of the storage tank and to avoid high return temperatures at the
conventional heat generator.
