If the mains voltages shut down, the electronics register
a phase failure, all main LEDs are lit in yellow, the Auto
LED in green, current limit 1 × green. The PLC receives a
temporary warning message.
Standby mode: If "Esc / Reset" is pressed and held for 8s
the hybrid switch will go to standby mode. All the
outputs will be shut down. All 3 manual LEDs will flash
yellow, all other LEDs are off. The PLC will receive an
error message but no warning message. To exit standby,
press Esc / Reset for 2s The last saved setting will then
be activated.
Manual mode: The "Manual ON" keys are only active in
manual mode and switch on the relevant phase.
Manual mode is activated and deactivated by the
selection in stages of the "select", "change" to manual
and "enter" phases (see also under setting process). The
Auto LED goes off, the manual LED will change to green.
The load can only be switched on by pressing the
"Manual ON" key in manual mode. The manual LED will
change to yellow. The "Manual ON" keys can be pressed
together. In manual mode, warnings and errors are
treated in the same way as in automatic mode.
The factory settings can be restored by pressing "select"
+ "enter" simultaneously.
9.3 Setting and Esc / Reset
The device must be switched off when changing the
settings. All outputs are switched off. The PLC receives a
warning message for this time.
Initiation / End of parameter setting:
The setting process is initiated using the "select" key.
The values / functions which can currently be adjusted
flash green. The value inside the function can be
selected using "change" and this selection saved and
displayed (continuous light) using "enter". Only when
you press "select" again will you pass to the next
function which can be changed. The setting process can
be ended and the user returned to the last saved
setting by pressing "Esc / Rest" or by waiting for 8s
without making an entry or interrupting the 24V
operating voltage.
After pressing "select" the current selection is shown
and only the function which can currently be changed
will flash green. The selection is made in stages:
1. All phases (L1+L2+L3) simultaneously auto/manual,
2. All phases (L1+L2+L3) simultaneously 16A-20A-25A,
32
3. When a change has been made to 1 or 2, to 10
initial position, no selection, otherwise continue
with 4
4. Only L1 auto / manual
5. Only L1 16A-20A-25A,
6. – 9. Only L2 such as 4 and 5, only L3 such as 4 and 5,
10. To initial position no selection.
If "select" is pressed again, the original setting remains
and the selection moves on. By pressing "change" the
setting will switch between auto and manual or
between the current limits. The new value is not saved
until "enter" is pressed, otherwise the device will go to
the last saved state. The setting process can be
cancelled by pressing the Esc / Reset key or if no setting
is made for 8 seconds.
The factory settings can be restored by pressing "select"
+ "enter" simultaneously.
You can go to the last saved state by pressing
"Esc / Reset" (hold it for 2s) or by interrupting the 24V
operating voltage. The display will be reset.
If "Esc / Reset" is pressed and held for more than 8s, the
hybrid switch will go to standby mode. All 3 manual
LEDs will flash yellow. You can go to the last saved state
by pressing "Esc / Reset" (hold it for 4s) or by interrupt-
ing the 24V operating voltage.
9.4 Warnings
Warnings are given, if (non-critical) commands cannot
be followed for more than 2s or if a dangerous
condition is executed such as:
• Minor overtemperature,
• Failure of control commands,
• Minor overcurrent or phase failure,
• Emergency mode.
All three main LEDs will flash yellow. Current operation
will not be stopped. The PLC will receive the warning
message during the error time.
Green flashing LEDs show the cause. The other LEDs will
be lit to show the set values (auto/manual and limits).
Warnings of phase failure, overtemperature and
overcurrent are only displayed during the error time.
Minor overtemperature means that the temperature is
just below the shutdown limit. Minor overcurrent
means that the set limit has been exceeded by less than
15%. Failure of control commands is when individual
control commands are not completed within a time
limit.
If the hybrid technology fails due to an error on the
semi-conductor, OMUS® will continue to operate in
emergency mode for up to 100,000 switching cycles
with the relay contacts only.
9.5 Errors
If the internal temperature of the hybrid switch is
higher than 80°C, an error is indicated. All main LEDs
will flash red. The PLC receives the error message and
warning message continuously. An Esc / Reset
(manually on the button or interrupting the 24V DC
supply) is required. All outputs are shut down for self
protection.
If the measured current rises significantly above the set
limit, the subjected load is shut down. The correspond-
ing main LED turns red and the current limit LED flashes
green. The PLC receives the error message and warning
message continuously. An Esc / Reset (manually on the
button or interrupting the 24V DC supply) is required.
If the electronics detect a current flow to the load even
though it has not been switched on for over 20s, it
assumes a defect in the hybrid switch. An interrupting
the 24V DC supply is required. If the error continues, the
hybrid switch must be replaced.
9.6 Error acknowledgement
If the cause of a warning / error has been acknowl-
edged, the last saved setting can be activated by
interrupting the 24V operating voltage or by pressing
Esc / Reset (2s).
9.7 Emergency mode
The failure of the semi-conductor switch is detected
and indicated by the electronics. OMUS® will then work
for a limited time. The device should be replaced as
soon as possible.
