9. Function description
9.1 General
The OMUS® hybrid switch has four function sections
with staged priority.
1. The normal working functions of delivery condition,
commissioning, operation, interruption, standby in
manual mode at the lowest priority.
2. The setting functions "select", "change" and "enter"
have priority over the working functions.
3. Warnings are indicated if a dangerous condition such
as overtemperature, failure to control commands,
overcurrent or phase failure are active or threatened.
4. Exceeding critical limits has the highest priority. In
this case the devices shut down and the error
message activated.
9.2 Working functions
Factory setting: On delivery all phases are set to
automatic mode and the current limits to 25A. The
hybrid switch can be returned to factory settings by
pressing "select" + "enter" at the same time.

Commissioning: The connections of the controller and
mains can be connected in any order: If only control
voltage is connected, phase failure (Main LED yellow,
Auto LED green, current limit 1 × green) is indicated, the
device will not switch.
If only the main circuits are connected, the loads
receive no energy, all LEDs are off, the signal contact
indicates error.
Ready: Ready means that all voltages are connected,
no internal overtemperature, there is no constraint
between actuation and command completion, the
measured currents are below the set limits and no
setting processes required at the current time. Green
continuous light means: No error message, no warning.
The operating switch on and off processes are not
displayed separately to ensure a clear distinction
between warnings and errors.
Interruption: If the 24V operating voltage is interrupt-
ed, the loads are shut down in an orderly manner. All
LEDs are off, the PLC receives an error message but no
warning message.
