These short instructions do not replace

the instructions for use. Any start-up work
and handling of the device requires that
the user must fully understand and strictly
observe the instructions of the Nitrox 200.
Only fully trained and competent users

are permitted to check, repair, and
service the product. Dräger recommends
a Dräger service contract for all
maintenance activities and that all repairs
are carried out by Dräger.
DANGER
Filling non-certified or defective pressure
vessels can result in personal injury and
material damage. Only fill gas into pressure
vessels in perfect condition and approved for
the gas type. Never fill pressure vessels with
an expired certificate.
DANGER
The product may not be used in an explosion-
hazard area. An explosion may occur under
certain circumstances.
DANGER
Always open and close valves slowly. Never
undo or tighten hoses and pipe screw
connections that are under pressure.
WARNING
Oils, greases, and other materials not
suitable for oxygen can combust explosively
in contact with oxygen and become a hazard
for the operator.
All parts carrying oxygen and the tools and
test devices used must be free of oil and
grease.
Test devices and materials not tested and
approved for applications using oxygen must
not be used (observe the temperature and
pressure ranges).

WARNING
Risk of explosion or serious fire if oxygen
escapes
Oxygen encourages the spread of fire.
The Dräger Nitrox must only be used
outdoors or in very well-ventilated spaces
with a maximum O content of 23 Vol%.

Smoking and open flame are prohibited in the
area around the Dräger Nitrox!
In case of a suspected oxygen leak, the
Dräger Nitrox must be immediately switched
off and it must be ensured that the ambient air
does not contain more than 23 Vol%. An
excessive O content is present and clothes

that are worn must be well-ventilated for at
least 15 minutes. Observe the national
regulations on handling oxygen.
WARNING
Mixing Nitrox depends on many different
parameters. These include temperature,
pressure, and whether the cylinder to be filled
has been completely emptied. For this
reason, precise specialist knowledge of this
process and appropriate training is a basic
requirement for making a Nitrox mixture, and
therefore for using the Dräger Nitrox 200.
When doing so, comply with national laws
and provisions, among other things. Not
following such regulations or making an
Nitrox mix while unqualified to do so can
result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION
Open connections can become
contaminated during use and during
transport. Close all open connections with
appropriate dust caps. The quality of the air
supply system must conform to the
requirements for breathing air as per
DIN EN 12021.
