Before carrying out maintenance work,
disconnect the power supply.
Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to ensure
equipment is in safe working condition.
Before each use, check the extension cord for any
damage or signs of aging. Replace the cable if it is
split, cracked or damaged. Check the condition of
the tines and make sure all threaded connections are
tight. If the teeth become dull, they should be
sharpened or replaced. For assistance, call our
customer service line.
Once per season, lubricate teeth and shaft. At the
end of the season, check the tiller for damage before
putting it away. Repair or replace damaged or
broken parts.
WARNING: Always clean the tiller after each use.
Failure to perform proper cleaning may damage the
device or cause poor performance.
Clean the underside of the motor support plate and
the housing around the tines using a brush and a soft
cloth dampened with mild soap or water-based
mixture. Never use a water hose to clean the tiller!
To remove soil and debris lodged in the teeth and
transmission, use a stiff brush or damp cloth. Clean
the air vents on the engine and remove excess grass
or dirt. Once cleaned, wipe the tines and shaft clean,
then apply a light coat of oil to prevent rust.
REPLACING CUTTERS
• Lay the tool on its side.
MAINTENANCE
• Using leather gloves, hold the strawberries with one
hand.
• Use a spanner + counter spanner to loosen and
remove the bolts holding the cutters.
• Repair or replace cutters, then replace cutters and
bolts and tighten securely
WARNING: Working on the tines may cause injury.
Wear protective gloves.
To remove the complete set of teeth from the shaft,
remove the M8 X 40 hex head bolt from the shaft.
Carefully pull the tine assembly off the shaft. Follow
the reverse procedure to install the teeth.
TRANSMISSION
The transmission is already greased at the factory,
so that you have a product ready to use; however if
for some reason you need to bleed the transmission,
there is a drain screw.
It will be more easily accessible if you remove the
strawberries. Be sure to clean everything before
bleeding so that no dirt gets lodged in the
transmission. A high quality transmission grease is
recommended "SAE 30".
Replace worn or damaged parts only with original
spare parts. Parts from another tiller may not fit and
cause an unsafe situation.
Make sure all safety devices are secure and in good
condition. Repair or replace if necessary.
