v Check that the device has not been
damaged and, if so, have it repaired.
Use / Liability
The user is responsible for accidents
with other people or damage to their
property.
V Use the hoe in accordance with its
field of use and its operating
instructions.

v Do not attach any additional weight to
the electric hoe!
v After each use, unplug the appliance
and check its condition, in particular
that of the blades. Have the necessary
repairs made if necessary.
Damage to the transmission housing!
v Do not drag the electric hoe over hard
surfaces (e.g. concrete, slabs) and up
stairs.
Workwear / Work area
You are responsible for safety in the
work area.
v Make sure that no other people
(especially children) or animals are
near the place where do you work.
v Wear sturdy shoes and long pants to
protect your legs. Never use the hoe
barefoot or in light shoes.
v Keep your hands and feet away from
knives
– especially during commissioning!
v Be sure to work in a stable and safe
position.
v Always keep the power cable out of
the cutting area.
Avoid backing up while the tool is
running:
you risk tripping.
v To hoe on sloping ground, work
across the slope and be sure to
maneuver in a stable and safe position.
v Be particularly careful when using the
hoe on sloping ground: never work on
too steep slopes and be careful when
changing direction.
v Work only in conditions of sufficient
visibility.
Interruption of work
v Never leave the hoe unattended in
the work area.
v If you interrupt your work, unplug the
electric hoe and store it in a safe place!
v Stop, wait for the blades to come to a
complete stop and always unplug the
hoe when you move to another work
area.
Consider the environment
v Familiarize yourself with your work
environment and be aware of any
hazards that may be masked by the
sound of the tool.
v Never work in the rain or in a wet
area.
v Never work near swimming pools or
ponds.
Electrical Safety
The hoe should only be used with a
power cable (cord and extension) in
perfect condition.
v These must be checked regularly and
replaced as soon as they show signs of
deterioration (damage, cut or aging).
v If the power cable (cord and
extension) is damaged or cut,
disconnect the mains plug immediately.
The connection socket for the
extension cord must be sealed against
any splashes of water.
v Always keep the electric cables well
away from the knives.
v Always stop and unplug the hoe
before checking that its power cable is
not damaged.
