Secure the extension cord in the cord clamp (5). The
extender loop should be long enough to slide the cord
clamp freely from side to side. Plug the extension
cord into the power plug provided for this purpose on
the tiller.
Use the tiller to break up clods, prepare the seedbed
and to cultivate gardens and flower beds. It can also
dig small holes for planting saplings or potted plants.
Move the unit to the work area before starting the
engine.
To lower the wheel frame, press the lock button on
the back of the motor housing to release the frame.
Lower the wheel frame and pull the locking pin
located on the bottom of the handle. Align the lock pin
with the hole in the wheel frame, then release it to lock
the wheel frame.
Hold the tiller firmly when starting. The tines will pull
the tiller forward during use. Slowly lower the teeth
using the guide bar.
WORKING
To start the tiller, press the safety lock button
(A) located on the safety switch, then pull the trigger lever
(B) up and against the handle. The engine starts and the
tines begin to turn. To stop the tiller, simply release the
lever.
To break up clods or dig deep, let the tines pull the tiller
forward until your arms are straight, then pull the tiller
firmly toward you. You will get the best results by letting
the device move freely forward and pulling it back.
By pulling the tiller towards yourself, the tines will dig
deeper and more aggressively.
To avoid slippage, be careful when moving backwards
and when pulling the tiller backwards toward you.
If the tiller digs deep enough to stay in one spot, rock it
lightly from side to side to get it moving forward again.
Never run the tiller over the extension
Make sure the cord is always secure
behind you.
When working on a slope, always stand diagonally to the
slope, well on your feet and securely. Do not work on
extremely steep slopes.
