Clean with water after each use:
• The protective casing (9).
Note
If necessary remove the protective casing (see
Section 4.2.2, "Remove the protective guard").
• The cutting head (8).
Note
If necessary, remove the cutting head (see Sec-
tion 6.4.1, "Removing the ALPHA CUT cutting
head").
• The outside of the motor crankcase (7) and the tube
(5).
Important
After cleaning, allow the tool to dry thoroughly before using it.

6.4. REMOVING AND MOUNTING THE ALPHA CUT CUTTING HEAD

Caution
Always disconnect the battery before performing maintenance on the cutting head.

6.4.1. REMOVING THE ALPHA CUT CUTTING HEAD

1. Remove the protective casing (see Section 4.2.2,
"Remove the protective guard")
2. Position the supplied Torx 25 spanner or a Torx 25
screwdriver in the slot between the cutting head (8)
and the motor (21).
