9 STOPPING OPERATION, STORAGE
The unit must be stored in surroundings described in chapter 4.1.
9.1 PREPARING FOR STORAGE
Clean the unit and accessories making sure that all the parts are carefully
packed and all chemical containers securely closed.
9.2 PACKING, TRANSPORT, ONWARD TRANSPORT
Keep the original packing. Always use it for storage and transport.
9.3 MAINTENANCE DURING STORAGE
There is no maintenance to be carried out during storage.
Electrolytes, Neutralyt and Konservat should be stored in a cool, dark
place. Protect from direct sunlight.
10 DISPOSAL
Pay attention to environmental tolerance, health risks, disposal regulations
and local possibilities of legal disposal, particularly those for special waste.l.
Warnung
Before disposing, separate the unit from power supply.
All work should be carried out under observance of the safety
regulations described in chaper 1.
Used fibreglass and/or cloth and liquid leftovers (except those parts soaked
in gold electrolyte) are to be neutralised with Neutralyt GN 2 to a pH value
of 7. The dirty water can then be disposed of normally.
Felt and cloth remnants contain metallic components and are to be
disposed of as scrap metal.
Electronic scrap:
Dismantle into main groups (transformers, mother boards, cables...) and
disposed of according to local regulations.
Materials:
Metals, non-metals, composites and aids are to be sorted and disposed of
favourable for the environment. Empty gold electrolyte containers and felt
soaked in gold electrolyte are to be securely closed according to regula-
tions in acid-resistant containers and sent free home delivery to Messrs.
