4 TRANSPORT, PUTTING INTO OPERATION

4.1 SAFETY REGULATIONS

4.1.1 Temporary storage

Always store the unit in its packing in a dry indoor room.

4.1.2 Setting up

Remove the outer packing carefully. Do not use a sharp tool.
Keep the original packing. It can be used for storage and transport.

4.1.3 Putting into operation

Make sure that the voltage of the power supply matches that on the
type plate, see chapter 2.2
• with the mains cable, connect the unit to the power supply
• put the red cable into the red connecting socket (1)
• fix the ground clamp to the red cable
• fix the ground clamp to the workpiece
• plug the black cable into the black connecting socket (2, 10, 11),
• fix the hand-held wand to the other end of the cable,
• switch the unit on at the main switch (8), the control lamp
(3) should then light up, the unit is ready,
• make the required adjustments.
