1.3.2 Risks involved with the unit
The unit has been construction to the latest technological standard and the
recognized safety-related rules. In spite of this, however, there could be
risks of injury to the person using the machine or to third parties or there
could be damages to the unit or other commodities during operation. The
unit is only to be used:
• for the stated reason,
• in a safety-related, perfect condition.
1.3.3 Guarantee and liability
Fundamentally, our „General Conditions of Sales and Delivery" are to apply.
Guarantee and liability claims for damages to goods or injuries will not be
valid if they result from one or more of the following:
• incorrect or improper use of the unit,
• non-observance of directions in the operating instructions,
• unauthorized structural changes to the unit.
1.3.4 Informal safety measures
The operating instructions are always to be kept near the unit and are to be
passed on together with the unit when it is sold or otherwise disposed of.
All safety and risk signs on the unit must be kept clean and easy to read.
1.3.5 Risks caused by electric power
Work on the power supply may only be carried out by an electrician.
The electrical equipment must be checked regularly.
Loose connections and damaged cables are to be replaced immediately.
1.3.6 Special risks arising from chemicals
Handling chemicals must be seen as a special risk. Please observe the
safety data sheets and the following remarks in the operating instructions.
Protect the eyes by using goggles before coming into contact with chemi-
cals. Should eyes still come into contact with chemicals, then:
• rinse the eyes with a lot of clean water
• see a doctor.
Use rubber gloves.
Those parts of the skin or clothing coming into contact with chemicals must
be immediately
and thoroughly washed with plenty of water.
Do not eat or drink at the workplace.
Wash hands well before beginning to eat.
Keep chemicals well away from children and the unit.
1.3.7 Maintenance and repairs, clearing disturbances
Carry out the prescribed maintenance and inspection jobs promptly and
at the due time. Switch off the unit before beginning any maintenance and
repair work and secure against it being inadvertantly switched on again.
e.g. by "pulling the plug".
1.3.8 Structural changes to the unit
No changes, additions or alterations may be made to the unit without prior
permission from the manufacturer.
Only use original spares and replacement parts.
