4.7.7 Switching Output x: Changing Switching Function of LED
The indication of the switching output by the respective LED can be changed. The assignment of each LED
is listed in the table.
Number of LED
LED
1 2 3 4
With factory settings, the LED indicates the physical switching state of the PNP output (output is closed –
LED is active).
If requested, it is possible to alter the logic function of the LED with respect to the physical signal of the
output. Therefore, the function of the LED can be inverted in this menu item (output is opened – LED is
active).
Example for temperature control:
Two switching outputs are available for temperature control with the following settings:
Upper switching point: maximum, NO contact. The LED lights up if the maximum temperature is
exceeded and temperature if off limits. The status indicated is "Error" if the LED in active (ON).
Lower switching point: minimum, NO contact. The LED lights up if the minimum temperature is
exceeded (factory setting). In this case, the LED would be active (ON) if no error is present (status
OK).
The following table shows an example with factory settings and inverted function for LED3. The switching
points are defined as follows:
Especially the recording of events depends on the status of the LED (see chapter "Diagnostic Tools" 0).
