6.14 Connecting the battery cable

Risk of fatal injury due to voltage
As soon as the battery cable is connected to the
BMM, the system is live.
Before starting work:
 Disconnect the system Ensure that it is secured
against being switched back on Verify that the
system is fully de-energised Earth and short-circuit
the system Cover or shield any adjacent
components

Procedure
1. Connect the red battery cable protruding from the
battery cover opening to the BAT+ and BAT-
battery power terminals on the BMM
BMM: Connect the battery cable to the BAT+ (1)
6.30:
and BAT- (2) terminals
Carry out measurements according to DIN EN 62446,
in order to ensure that the components are
connected correctly.

The battery cable is connected to the battery
management module.
