Calibration Wizard
1. Open the calibration window (see
chapter 6.1.5 on page 17), define the number of
poles on the ring and press <Enter> to start the
configuration process. Do not interrupt this process to
avoid malfunctions.

2. After the parameter calculation is done, you can start
the calibration process with the Start
button.
3. After the calibration is started, rotate the ring in the
forward direction at a constant and slow speed until
the S
message is displayed. During the
tOp rOtatiOn
forward movement, follow the instructions displayed in
the window (e.g. wrong direction).
4. If the forward direction was successfully measured,
move backward with constant and slow speed until the
S
message is displayed. During the
tOp rOtatiOn
backward movement, follow the instructions displayed
in the window.
5. If the backward direction was also successfully
measured, the parameters will be updated in the BML.
Do not interrupt this process to avoid malfunctions.
6. If the update succeeded, the following message
appears on the screen:

Possible errors, troubleshooting
Parameters (e.g. number of poles) are not correctly
defined or the mechanical settings (e.g. air gap, side
offset and tangential offset) are critical.

the mechanical settings need to be corrected (e.g. air

Another option to clear the rotative calibration is to use the
built-in factory defaults function (see chapter 5.3.3 on
page 14).
Aborting calibration
The calibration can be aborted by clicking on a
calibration window. The calibration will be aborted and the
BML parameters will be set back to linear operation.
