Installation
f Use a spirit level to align the wall outlet with the building
interior in all directions.

5.3 Using a foam sealant

f Seal the gap between the wall and the wall outlet from
the inside and outside of the building using non-expand-
ing fixing foam. We recommend using 2K-PUR fixing foam.
f Seal the gap between the wall and the wall outlet in the
building with sealing tape or compression tape to make it
airtight.
f To prevent water getting into the building, seal the gap
between the wall and the wall outlet outside the building.
Use sealing material that is suitable for the type of wall
(e.g. sealing foil, reinforcement or permanently elastic
sealant).

5.4 Fitting the installation aid

Note
For the duration of the construction phase until com-
pletion of the outer façade, fit the installation aid as a
placeholder for the insert.
5.4.1 Option: Cutting an opening in the installation aid
If you wish to dry out or ventilate the building while the in-
stallation aid is fitted, you can cut out the inner surface of the
installation aid.
Fit the weather grille to prevent the ingress of precipitation,
dirt and small animals.

f Tighten the screws carefully, since no thread is cut into
the installation aid. The screws are wound directly into the
rigid EPS foam.
5.4.2 Sliding the installation aid into the wall outlet
f Slide the installation aid into the wall outlet from the out-
side of the building.

5.5 Removing the installation aid

Note
The steps detailed below are to be followed once the
outer façade of the building is complete, after the
render has been applied or the exterior brickwork has
been completed.

!
f To avoid damaging the render when pulling out the
installation aid, release the installation aid from the
render carefully with a knife before drawing it out.
f Pull the installation aid out of the wall outlet.

5.6 Fitting the insert

f Apply a suitable waterproofing sealant to the surface of
the insert that lies against the façade. This sealant is not
included in the standard delivery.
f Push the insert into the wall outlet from the outside of the
building. The insert must lie against the outer façade to
prevent the ingress of moisture.
f Seal the gap between the insert and the wall outlet using
the sealant included in the standard delivery.
