WARNING Injury
The discharged cold air can cause condensation to
be formed in the vicinity of the air outlet.
f Ensure that there is no risk of slipping due to
moisture or ice forming on adjacent footpaths
and driveways at low temperatures.

3. Product description

This product is a rigid EPS foam wall outlet for the outdoor air
or exhaust air duct of heat pumps or ventilation units. Within
the application limits (see chapter "Specifications / Data table"
in the appliance operating and installation instructions), the
thermal insulation properties of the rigid EPS foam prevent
condensation from forming around the perimeter of the wall
outlet. No further insulation is necessary.
The wall outlet can be used in wall knock-outs with any wall
construction.
The product features a weather grille. Behind this is a protec-
tive grille designed to keep small animals out.
AWG L products are intended for installation in light wells.

4. Preparation

Installation location

Condensation may form around the weather grille
(e.g. on the façades of adjacent buildings) because of
escaping cold air.
f Fit the wall outlet so that there is sufficient clear-
ance between the weather grille and adjacent
buildings.
Note
Make sure the product is suitable for the wall thickness
(see chapter "Specifications / Dimensions").
AWG 315 L.2: Minimum dimensions of the light well
To ensure an unimpeded flow of air, ensure that the light well
complies with the minimum size.
Note
When sizing the light well, please note that the insert
and weather grille have to be fitted from the outside.
Note
Escaping cold air can dip below the dew point in the
light well. We recommend that you use a plastic light
well.
Note
In exceptional cases, the wall outlet can also be in-
stalled in light wells with a depth of 400 mm.
f Please note that the smaller the light well, the
greater the noise emissions will be.
