Installation

4.2 Installation versions

Note
The air duct connection on the wall outlet is oval.
When selecting the installation position for the wall
outlet, note how the connections on the appliance are
arranged, to ensure that the air hose will not have to
be twisted.
5. Installation
Material losses
!
The weather grille is fitted with a drip edge to prevent
condensate running down the building envelope and
damaging the building. A prerequisite for this is that
the building envelope is vertical.
With the L versions, the drip edge is at the top and
serves to prevent water running down the wall from
reaching the wall outlet.
Material losses
!
Ensure that the sealants and adhesives you use are
compatible with rigid EPS foam.
f Use solvent-free sealants and adhesives.
Material losses
!
The wall outlet, installation aid and insert are made
from rigid EPS foam and may be destroyed if great
pressure is exerted on them or they are exposed to
impact.
f Be careful not to drop the products. Handle the
products with care during installation.
5.1

Creating the outlet aperture

Material losses
!
If the wall outlet is installed horizontally within the
outlet aperture, the condensate will drain outwards.
So as to prevent the condensate from running into
the building, the outlet aperture should not have an
inward fall.
f Create an outlet aperture in the wall of the building.

5.2 Fitting the wall outlet

f Calculate the wall thickness, taking into account the plas-
ter, insulation and render or, for instance, clinker brick.
Refer to chapter "Specifications / Data table" for details of the
wall thickness for which the product is intended.
If the wall is not very thick, the further the insert and the wall
outlet are pushed into one another, the greater the pressure
drop.
f If the wall thickness, including the insulation, plaster and
render, is between 325 and 420 mm, you need to shorten
the wall outlet in order to reduce the pressure drop. Trim
approx. 35 mm from the wall outlet at the level of the flat
recessed edge.
325-420
Note
The air duct connection on the wall outlet is oval.
When selecting the installation position for the wall
outlet, note how the connections on the appliance are
arranged, to ensure that the air hose will not have to
be twisted.

f Centre the wall outlet in the outlet aperture.
We recommend installing the wall outlet flush with the build-
ing interior.
f Use a shim in the wall outlet if necessary to leave a gap
below it that can be sealed with fixing foam.
