6. Close the water tank lid (1). It must click
audibly into place.
7. Insert the mains plug (6) into a properly
installed and easily accessible socket.

8. Press the On/Off button (7) to switch on.
The On/Off button (7) lights up red.
Brewing begins.
9. Once the water has percolated through,
press the On/Off switch (7) again to switch
off the appliance.
The light on the button goes out.
10. Take out the filled jug and pour away the
water.
11. Repeat the process 1–2 more times, allo-
wing the coffee machine to cool for 5 mi-
nutes each time.
12. Pull the mains plug (6) out of the socket
when you are not using the appliance.

Press the On/Off button (7), and pull the
mains plug (6) out of the socket to switch
off the appliance in an emergency.
