To avoid damage to the wood, a relative humidity of 45 to 65% and temperature of
15 to 25°C are recommended in the room. The effects of the light will cause the co-
lour of the oiled wooden surfaces to change, especially during the first few weeks
and months. For this reason, please avoid covering the surfaces with decorative
objects, table sets and other items in the short-term during this initial period. The
wood will remain lighter under areas which remain covered for a long time and this
can lead to significant colour differences. Avoid placing hot containers or objects
containing water (e.g. jugs, vases, flower pots) directly on the table unless special
bases are used. Bases should also be used with sharp-edged objects to protect
the surface of the table top. Any radiators with a heat effect can cause distortion if
directed at the top of the table and should therefore be avoided. Every solid woo-
den table top is unique in its colour, structure and characteristics of the resin-filled
areas.
