6.4 Connecting the process connection
Fig. 4: Process connection
1. Screw the product hand-tight into the mounting location in any direction.
2. Tighten product firmly over the wrench flat using a suitable tool.
Tightening torque: max. 35 Nm.
ð The housing can be rotated by 350°. The display can be rotated by 180° in the
settings menu. See system description.

6.5 Connecting the electrical system

Notes
• Circuits connected to the product must be SELV and PELV circuits.
• In applications where UL certification is used, the power must be supplied by
an energy-limited power circuit in accordance with Class 2 of the UL 1310/
UL 1585 standard (NEC or CEC).
Procedure
1. Make sure the system is not under pressure or voltage.
2. Plug on the socket of the 4-pin M12 connection cable, A-coded.
3. Tighten the connection cable.
Tightening torque: approx. 0.6 Nm.
4. Connect the open end of the connection cable. See g Table 1.

Optional: Establish IO-Link connection
IO-Link mode activates automatically when the product is connected to an IO-
Link master. In SIO mode, the product acts as it was last set in IO-Link mode.
7 Commissioning
7.1 Step-by-step commissioning
Procedure
1. Check on the display whether there is a zero point offset.
2. Make sure the system is without pressure.
NOTICE! A zero point adjustment under pressure can falsify the pressure
value. The zero point adjustment is possible at max. 3 % of the measured
value.
3. For zero point offset: Adjust zero point offset to the current atmosphere: Set-
tings > Zero-Point > Adjust to atmosph.? > Yes.

8 Operation
The device is operated through the system. Observe the information in the sys-
tem documentation.

8.1 Basic requirements

General requirements
• Never switch off, modify or bypass safety devices.
In case of malfunctions during operation
• In case of a malfunction that presents an immediate danger for employees or
systems: Switch off product.
• Carry out analysis and troubleshooting of malfunctions. See
bleshooting.
9 Service
9.1 Inspection
9.1.1 General requirements
Use in normal ambient conditions
• Inspection interval: The product must be checked monthly for contamination
and damage.
Use in aggressive ambient conditions
Aggressive ambient conditions include, for example:
• High temperatures
• Heavy accumulation of dirt
• Proximity to grease-dissolving liquids or vapors
Aggressive ambient conditions lead to further requirements for inspection:
• Adapt the inspection interval for seals to the ambient conditions.
NOTICE! Seals age faster under aggressive ambient conditions. Defective
seals will lead to pneumatic leaks and non-compliance with the degree of pro-
tection. Inspect seals more frequently (material protection).
9.1.2 Procedure
Preparation
1. Do not carry out any work on the system during preparation.
2. Close off dangerous areas.
3. Make sure the system or system part is not under pressure or voltage.
4. Protect the system against being restarted.
5. Allow the product and adjacent system parts to cool down.
6. Wear PPE.
Visual inspection
Visually inspect for integrity.
u
Detailed inspection
• Identifications and warnings on the product: The system owner has to replace
labels or warnings that are difficult to read immediately.
• Check to make sure that all fittings are properly connected.
• Check the safety devices on the system.
• Check the product functions.
9.2 Cleaning
9.2.1 General requirements
Cleaning intervals
• The system owner specifies the cleaning intervals in line with the ambient
conditions at the operating site.
