DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

This hair dryer must be wall mounted. It is designed
for use in domestic bathrooms, hotels and guest
houses, public facilities and sports centres. It is
capable of drying hair in just a few minutes. Choose
the position in which to install the unit carefully to

Warning:
• Do not use this appliance for functions other than
those described in this booklet.
• After removing the appliance from its packaging,
ensure that it is complete and undamaged. If in
doubt contact a professionally qualified electrician
or Vortice*. Do not leave packaging within the
reach of children or infirm persons.
• Certain fundamental rules must be observed when
using any electrical appliance: a) Never touch
electrical appliances with wet or damp hands.

• Do not make modifications of any kind to this
appliance.
• Do not expose this appliance to the weather (rain,
sun, etc.).
• Keep the appliance's intake and outlet grilles free to
ensure an optimum flow of air.
• Regularly inspect the appliance for visible defects. If
any faults are found, do not operate the appliance;
contact Vortice* immediately.
• If the appliance does not function correctly or
develops a fault, contact Vortice* immediately.
Ensure that only genuine original Vortice spares are
used for any repairs.
• Should the appliance be dropped or suffer a heavy
blow, have it checked by Vortice* immediately.
• The appliance must be installed by a professionally
qualified electrician.
• Install the appliance vertically in accordance with
these instructions. Install the appliance with the air
outlet from the body facing downwards.
• Ensure that the electrical system to which the
appliance is connected complies with applicable
standards.
• The appliance is double insulated and therefore
does not need to be earthed.
• The electrical power supply/socket to which the
appliance is to be connected must be able to provide
the maximum electrical power required by the
appliance. If it cannot do so, arrange for a qualified
electrician to make the necessary modifications.
• Use a multi-polar switch with minimum contact gaps
of 3 mm to install the appliance.
• If you are installing the appliance in a public
building, install a thermal cutout or earth leakage
(* Or an authorised Service Centre if you are outside the UK-Ireland territory)

• EASY DRY is calibrated in the factory. Adjust the
trimmer (fig.10) if the sensitivity of the appliance
needs adjusting.
N.B.
• If the appliance gets too hot, a special cutout
trips to protect the heating element. This device
resets automatically. In the event of a cutout
malfunction, a second safety device trips to
disconnect electrical power.
• Easy Dry incorporates an anti-vandal device
that disconnects power after 5-10 minutes of
continuous operation. Normal functioning is
restored as soon as the obstacle causing
continuous operation is removed. The
appliance also incorporates a time-out function
that permits you to move away from the hair
dryer for between 5 and 10 seconds without the
appliance switching off.

The product must be located and installed in
accordance with all laws and standards
governing installation in the country where the
appliance is being installed.
