diameter and thickness of the material, solid materials and materials with a wall thickness of more
than 5mm can be sawed with a higher saw speed then materials with thin walls.
After the material is cut
8. Raise the saw head.
9. Open the vice and remove the work piece.
5. Maintenance
CAUTION! Always disconnect the machine from the power source before maintenance. Failure to
heed this instruction could cause serious injuries.
Check each use
-
Remove all sawing debris of the machine and, only use a brush and NEVER use compressed
air.
-
Regularly check the cutting fluid level and add fluid if necessary.
-
Check if the saw blade is sharp enough and replace if necessary.
-
Lubricate the vice after every use with an anti-corrosion oil.
Cutting fluid
The cutting fluid is to be replaced on a regular basis, only use Valkenpower SV520 cutting fluid. The
cutting fluid reservoir is placed in the machine's pedestal. Remove the cover on the back of the
pedestal. Check the level of the cutting fluid on a regular bases and and add fluid if necessary. Adding
cutting fluid can also be done by simply pooring the cutting fluid on the table, it will go through the
filter, straight to the reservoir.
Lubrication
The cleaning and lubricating of the machine is essential to ensure a
long and trouble-free lifetime of the machine.
-
Clean the vise and lead screw with Mammuth CH68 oil after
each use.
-
Grease bearings and hinge parts weekly with EP40 multi
grease.
Gearbox oil - check level weekly, full level is top of sight glass (see
figure 9) with head in full up position; gearbox oil should be changed
annually. Unscrew operating arm (B,figure 1) and add oil through
opening in crankcase (E, figure1). Lubricant – use only Valkenpower
EP320 industrial gearbox oil.
