3. Raise the lower blade guard (E, fig.4) upwards (F, fig.4).
4. Remove socket head cap screw (G, fig.4) that secures the blade (H, fig.4 ). Note: This screw
has a left thread requiring a clockwise turn to loosen and a counterclockwise turn to
tighten.
5. Remove the flange (J, fig.4) and blade (H, fig.4). Sharpen the old blade or replace it with a
new one (refer to below paragraph "The saw blade").
6. Install the new blade in the reverse order described above. NOTE! There is a hole in the saw
blade (L, fig.4), the flange (J, fig.4) has a pin (K, fig.4), that needs to match up with the
keyhole (L, fig.4).

CAUTION! When using the CS225 metal cutting saw, it is important to use the correct saw blade for
each material. Below is an explanation of the limitations and application of a few types of saw
blades.

Toothpitch

-
Sawblades with a small
toothpitch are mostly used for
thin-walled profiles, like sheet
metal tubes and for hard metals.
-
Sawblades with a big toothpitch
are mostly used for solid
materials, materials with a big
diameter and for soft metals like
aluminum.
-
Sawblades with an 'average'
tootpitch can be used for
materials with characteristics that
are inbetween the characteristics above.
The table in Figure 17a shows what toothpitch is to be used for different types of material. Figure
17b show what toothpitch actually means.
Explanation table: T= toothpitch (distance between two teeth in mm), Sp= Wall thickness Ø of a
tube or profile, S= diameter of a solid material.
The tooth pitch is of importance for the disposal of
chips. When cutting a solid bar, a bigger tooth pitch is
needed, because the chips cannot be disposed like on
the inside of a tube or rectangular profile.
