Release the knob and remove the chain
guard.

Turn the chain tensioner clockwise to
move the bar as close to the sprocket as
possible.

Put the chain round the bar, starting on
the top of the bar. Put the chain in the
slot on bar. The chain must be fitted in
the correct direction of rotation – see
markings on the chain.

Put the bar with the oblong hole over the
pin screw and guide screw on the product.
Put the chain round the sprocket.

Turn the chain tensioner anticlockwise to
tension the chain. The chain should not
hang down, but it should be possible to
lift it 1–2 mm from the middle of the bar.

Turn round the chain by hand and check
that it slides smoothly in the slot in the
bar.

Fit the chain guard.
9.
Tighten the knob to lock the bar and chain
guard.

NOTE:
On a new chain the chain tension should
be checked after a few minutes in use and
adjusted if necessary. Switch off the product,
remove the battery and apply the chain brake
before checking the chain tension.
SAW CHAIN OIL
Use eco-friendly chain oil of good quality.
Only use oil specially intended for
lubricating saw chains. Used oil and

engine oil or equivalent do not provide
sufficient lubrication and can result in
material damage.
Only use oil of the type recommended by
the manufacturer. The use of other oil can
damage the lubrication system, the bar
and/or the chain.
Make sure that no dirt gets into the oil tank.
Avoid spilling. Wipe up any spilled oil.
Filling with saw chain oil
1.
Unscrew the cap on the oil tank (a).
2.
Carefully fill with chain oil to the top mark
on the sight glass (b). The oil tank holds
max 180 ml.

Replace the cap on the oil tank and firmly
tighten by hand.
NOTE:
Never use the product without chain oil.
Check the oil level in the sight glass at
regular intervals.

INSERTING / REPLACING THE
BATTERY
1.
Charge the battery as described in the
instructions for the charger. Press the
charged battery into the battery holder so
that it locks in place.

Press the lock button (1) and remove the
battery (2).
