8.3 Installing and removing the inlays of the PT-12 28 press tool
Installing the inlays in the press tool
• Open the press tool.
• Slide the inlay (1) into the press tool as shown (Fig. 9) and align it, if necessary.
• Slide the inlay (2) into the groove as shown (Fig. 10). The nominal width must be legible.

Removing the inlays from the press tool
The inlays are held in their position by magnets. First remove inlay (2) and then inlay (1).
Inlay (2):
Slide a screwdriver or similar behind the face of the inlay (2) and push towards the middle until the
magnetic pull is overcome. (Fig. 12)
Inlay (1):
Slide inlay (1) out by hand.

Installing the inlays in the press tool
• Open the press tool.
• Slide the inlay (1) into the press tool as shown (Fig. 13).
• Slide the inlay (2) into the groove as shown (Fig. 14). The nominal width must be legible.
CAUTION!
Not locking the button (B) fully can cause damage to the device. (Fig. 7 + 8)
If the button (B) is not fully inserted, the cylinder can break during the pressing operation.
Therefore:
– Ensure that the button (B) is fully engaged.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury from inadvertent pressing of the start button when installing
the inlays in the press tool.
Therefore:
Install inlays only in the press tool when the press tool is not connected to the press
device or pull the battery of the press device!
Information!
Ensure that groove (A) and pin (B) properly engage when installing the inlay (2). (Fig. 11)
CAUTION!
Risk of injury from inadvertent pressing of the start button when installing
the inlays in the press tool.
Therefore:
Install inlays only in the press tool when the press tool is not connected to the press
device of pull the battery of the press device!
