Switch the vacuum cleaner off before per-
forming adjustments on the machine,
changing accessory parts or placing down
the sander. This safety measure prevents un-
intended starting of the sander.
Maintain the sander and the vacuum clean-
er with care. Check for misalignment or
binding of moving parts, breakage of parts,
and any other condition that may affect the
operation of the machine. Have damaged
parts repaired before using the machine.
Many accidents are caused by poorly main-
tained power tools.
Have the sander and the vacuum cleaner re-
paired only through qualified specialists
and only using original spare parts. This en-
sures that the safety of your machine is main-
tained.
Safety instructions for the sander
Do not vacuum materials that
WARNING
are harmful to one's health, e. g.
dust from beech or oak wood, masonry dust,
asbestos. These materials are considered carci-
nogenic.
Use the vacuum cleaner only
WARNING
when you fully understand and
can perform all functions without limitation, or
have received appropriate instructions. A thor-
ough introduction reduces operating errors and
injuries.
Children or persons with mental or physical
limitations may only use the vacuum clean-
er under supervision or after having been
instructed. A thorough introduction reduces
operating errors and injuries.
The vacuum cleaner is suitable
WARNING
for vacuuming dry materials.
The penetration of liquids increases the risk of
an electric shock.
The vacuum cleaner may only
WARNING
be used and stored indoors.
The penetration of rain or moisture increases
the risk of an electric shock.
Do not allow children to use the vacuum
cleaner without supervision. Children can
injure themselves.
Bosch Power Tools
Keep the vacuum cleaner away from rain or
moisture. The penetration of water into the
vacuum cleaner increases the risk of an elec-
tric shock.
Do not vacuum hot or burning dusts. Do not
operate the vacuum cleaner in hazardous
locations. The dusts or vapours can ignite.
Before each use, check the vacuum cleaner,
cable and plug. Do not use the vacuum
cleaner when defects are detected. Do not
open the vacuum cleaner yourself and have
it repaired only by qualified personnel us-
ing original spare parts. Damaged vacuum
cleaner, cables and plugs increase the risk of
an electric shock.
Do not pinch the cable. Do not misuse the
cable for pulling the plug out of the socket
outlet or moving the vacuum cleaner. Dam-
aged cables increase the risk of an electric
shock.
When operating the vacuum cleaner in
damp environments, use a residual current
device (RCD). Using a residual current de-
vice (RCD) reduces the risk of an electric
shock.
Have the vacuum cleaner repaired only
through qualified specialists and only using
original spare parts. This ensures that the
safety of your vacuum cleaner is maintained.
During work breaks, when not in use or
when working on the machine (e. g. chang-
ing tool inserts, repairs, cleaning, adjust-
ments), pull the mains plug. This safety
measure prevents accidental starting of the
vacuum cleaner.
Do not use the vacuum cleaner as a seat.
The vacuum cleaner could become damaged.
Products sold in GB only: Your product is fitted
with an BS 1363/A approved electric plug with
internal fuse (ASTA approved to BS 1362).
If the plug is not suitable for your socket outlets,
it should be cut off and an appropriate plug fit-
ted in its place by an authorised customer serv-
ice agent. The replacement plug should have the
same fuse rating as the original plug.
The severed plug must be disposed of to avoid a
possible shock hazard and should never be in-
serted into a mains socket elsewhere.
