MOUNTING THE BUILT-IN ROTARY FLANGE

Installation of the leak protection system in the pipe is performed using the supplied built-in rotary flange.
The built-in rotary flange serves as the connecting element to the domestic water installation. The leak
protection system can only be installed in horizontal pipes. For installation in vertical pipes, an intermedi-
ate flange has to be mounted between the pipe and the leak protection system (see chapter 11 "ACCES-
SORIES"). The installation height depends on the pipe course.
The built-in rotary flange must be installed in the direction of flow. This is indicated by
an arrow integral with the casting (see fig. 3).
If this requirement is ignored, the leak protection system will not work.
The flange surface of the built-in rotary flange must be vertical! The built-in rotary flange must be fitted so
that it is free from mechanical stress or strain.
Otherwise mechanical damage to the pipe or the built-in rotary flange up to and including breaks can re-
sult. This can result in severe water damage. Should such an event occur, persons in the vicinity of the leak
protection system are exposed to a risk of injury of harm because of the large water volumes that could es-
cape.
Therefore when fitting, ensure that no large forces act on the pipe, built-in rotary flange or leak protection
system.
