Do not allow children to play on or near the bed – children may be una-
ware of the potential hazards associated with electrically adjustable beds.
The bed system is likewise unsuitable for adults with certain types of
disability, who may require supervision and/or thorough instruction in its use.
Especially when retracting the bed, make sure that no objects or limbs are
between the moving parts or under the bed, as this may result in serious
crushing injuries.
The bed may only be connected to 230V / 50Hz alternating current, with a
minimum socket fuse of 6 or 10V. The voltage must match the type plate on
the appliance. Use sockets with an upstream residual current circuit breaker.
Never use defective power, motor or manual-switch cables. Replace
defective cables immediately. Do not pull or clamp the power cable around
corners or sharp edges. Do not lay or hang the power cable above hot objects.
Never pull the plug out of the socket by the power cable or with wet hands.
Only use electrical devices that are in perfect working order in the vicin-
ity of the bed. Ensure that these devices are never connected to multiple
sockets under the bed (risk of electric shock and fire resulting from liquid in-
gress). Do not use extension cords and multiple sockets.
Ensure that the power cables of auxiliary equipment (reading lamps, etc.) can-
not be pinched or damaged when the bed is adjusted.
Also ensure that the bed's range of movement is not restricted by peo-
ple (especially playing children) or other obstacles.
Lay the mattress, blanket and/or sheets on the bed in a way that ensures they
do not impair the bed's functions.
All parts must be free to move. Do not place the bed near window sills or other
obstacles.
Do not allow people other than the user to sit on the bed.
