DRILLING IN METAL

1.
Use high speed steel drills for best results.
2.
Secure the workpiece with a clamp, clips
or vice.
3.
Set the tool in drilling mode.
4.
Mark the centre with a punch.
5.
Use a suitable cutting fluid for the
workpiece. Cutting oil is recommended
for steel, and turpentine for aluminium.
No cutting fluid should be used for non-
ferrous metals such as copper and brass.
6.
Start drilling at low speed to avoid the drill
sliding to the side when you start drilling.
DRILLING IN CONCRETE AND
MASONRY
1.
Use high quality drills with hard metal tips
for best results when drilling in brick, tiles,
clinker, and concrete etc.
2.
Start drilling with the percussion function
switched off and connect after making a
shallow hole.
3.
Use a light pressure and medium speed to
drill in brick.
4.
Use more pressure and a higher speed
when drilling in hard materials such as
concrete.
5.
Try first on a spare piece of material.
NOTE:
Do not use left drive in percussion mode, this
can damage the product and the drill.
MAINTENANCE
1.
Switch off the product, wait until all
moving parts have completely stopped
and pull out the plug before cleaning
and/or maintenance.

Clean the product with a soft cloth and a
mild detergent, and wipe dry with a clean
cloth.
3.
Do not use petrol, solvents or detergents
that can damage the plastic parts.
4.
Keep the ventilation openings clean
and regularly remove any dust and oil
deposits.
5.
Service must only be carried out by
an authorised service centre. Only
use accessories recommended by the
manufacturer.
WARNING!
Make sure that no water or other liquid
gets into the product – risk of damaging the
motor and electric shock.
