ROTATION SELECTOR
Right/left drive can be selected with a rotation
selector.
1.
Press the rotation selector to the right
(seen from the direction in which you are
working) for right drive.
2.
Press the rotation selector to the left
(seen from the direction in which you are
working) for left drive.
3.
The rotation selector cannot be reset
when the power switch is pressed.

WARNING!
Do not attempt to reset the rotation selector
when the power switch is pressed, or the
spindle is still rotating.
NOTE:
A click is heard when first starting after
resetting the rotation selector. This is normal.
HIGH / LOW GEAR
The gear can only be reset when the spindle is
not moving.
The gear selector is on the left side of the
product. Low gear is engaged with the selector
in position "1". High gear is engaged with the
selector in position "2".

SWITCH FOR PERCUSSION
FUNCTION
• For percussion drilling (concrete and
masonry), move the switch all the way to the
right towards the hammer symbol "
• For drilling without percussion function
(wood and metal), move the switch all the way
to the left towards the drill symbol "

WARNING!
Before drilling, use a suitable detector to
check that there are no electric cables, gas
and/or water pipes in the work area – risk
of fire, explosion, electric shock or water
damage.
NOTE:
1) Secure the workpiece with a clamp, clips or
vice before drilling.
2) Place an underlay under the workpiece
when drilling through holes, to prevent
splintering the edge of the exit hole.
3) Use a centre punch to mark the hole and
first drill with a drill with a small diameter.
4) Apply pressure in line with direction of
drilling. Press hard enough for the drill to
work through, but not hard enough to reduce
the speed or stop the motor.
5) Pull the drill out of the hole now and then
during the drilling to clear the hole of chips
and to cool the drill.
WARNING!
Do not touch the drill to clear away chips
before it has stopped and cooled.

DRILLING IN WOOD

1.
Use a wood drill or centre drill when
drilling large diameter holes.
2.
Set the tool in drilling mode.
3.
Start drilling at low speed to avoid the drill
sliding to the side when you start drilling.
Increase the speed when the drill starts to
work through the material.

4.
Place a piece of wood behind the
workpiece when drilling through holes,
to avoid splintered edges.
