Operation
Preselection of the cutting rate
The electronics thumb wheel 2 allows you to set
the speed to suit the specific application.
-NOTE-
The power tool may become very hot if operated
at a low cutting rate for a long period of time.
Remove the saw blade and let the power tool run
for approx. 3 minutes at maximum cutting rate to
allow it to cool.
Setting pendulum action (Figure "C")
The adjustable pendulum action function ensures
perfect cutting for different materials.
The pendulum action function is switched on and
off by turning the pendulum action switch 3 to the
corresponding end position with the tool switched
off.
Turn the pendulum action switch 3 to the de-
sired position.
Straight pendulum action movement
For cutting metal and pipes and for
processing wood.
Eccentric movement
For cutting wood quickly.
Setting the shoe (Figure "B")
Setting the shoe 5 permits optimum utilisation of
the saw blade length and also allows improved ac-
cess on corners.
Press the clamping lever 6 downwards.
Push the shoe 5 to the desired position.
Push the clamping lever 6 upward to engage
the shoe in position.
Check that it has engaged by pulling the con-
tact shoe.
-WARNING-
Do not press the clamping lever 6 while the tool is
on operation.
You could lose control over the power tool and in-
jure yourself.

Changing the tool

Disconnect the plug from the power
source before making any adjust-
ments, changing accessories, or stor-
ing power tools.
Such preventive safety measures
prevent accidental start of the power
tool.
Wear safety gloves for tool chang-
ing.
The tool insert can become very hot
after working for long periods and/or
the cutting edges of the tool insert
are sharp.
This clamping system has the advantage that it is
possible to change the saw blades without the use
of tools.
Inserting the saw blade (Figure "A")
Twist the grip ring 7 of the tool locking mech-
anism anti-clockwise and hold it turned.
Insert the saw blade 8 into the saw blade
holder 4 from the front.
Push the saw blade 8 in until it engages.
Release the grip ring 7.
Pull the saw blade 8 to check that it has en-
gaged.
-NOTE-
Check that the saw blade is securely seated.
A loose saw blade can fall out and cause injury.
For certain tasks, the saw blade can also be
turned 180° (teeth point upwards) and reinserted.
Removing the saw blade
Twist the grip ring 7 anti-clockwise as far as it
will go and hold it in this position.
Pull the saw blade 8 out.
Release the grip ring 7.
