Care and maintenance

WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
Touching live parts may result in severe
injury or death.
■ Before cleaning the appliance and
the fi lters, pull the mains plug out of
the socket.
■ Ensure that no water seeps into the
appliance.
■ Never immerse the appliance in wa-
ter.
■ Only insert the mains plug into the
socket if all appliance components
are completely dry.
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Improper cleaning of the appliance can
impair the surface.
■ Do not use any solvent-based, abra-
sive or scouring cleaners (e.g. oven or
grill spray) or cleaning utensils such
as scouring pads or similar to clean
the appliance.

Cleaning the housing

1. Switch off the appliance and take the
mains plug out of the socket.
2. Wipe the appliance surface off with a
lightly moistened cloth. Use a small
amount of washing-up liquid for stubborn
soiling. Make sure that no liquid gets into
the appliance.
3. Thoroughly dry all parts after cleaning.

Cleaning the filters

NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the fi lters can
lead to damage to property.
■ Never use water or any other liquid to
clean the fi lters.
■ Clean the fi lters with great care and
do not use high pressure.
Cleaning the H13 filter (5)
To extend the service life of the H13 filter, it
should be cleaned every 2 weeks.
1. Switch off the appliance and take the
mains plug out of the socket.
2. Remove the H13 filter from the appli-
ance (see "Remove filter packing" on
page EN-10).
3. Place the H13 filter onto an old newspa-
per, sheeting or similar.
4. Remove the accumulated dust using a
vacuum cleaner with an attached brush
or crevice nozzle. Do not apply high pres-
sure as this may damage the filter.
5. Then replace the H13 filter.
6. Insert the filter cover (4) at the bottom and
fold it closed.
Cleaning the Activated Carbon filter (6)
Clean the Activated Carbon filter once a
month.
1. Switch off the appliance and take the
mains plug out of the socket.
2. Remove both filters from the appli-
ance (see "Remove filter packing" on
page EN-10).
3. Allow the Activated Carbon filter to dry
in a sunny, well-ventilated place for 2–3
hours.
4. Then clean the front and rear side of the
filter using a vacuum cleaner with an at-
tached brush or crevice nozzle. Do not
