When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be observed,
including the following:
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury to person:
1. The product is for household use only.
2. Connect the appliance to a single-phase AC supply of the voltage specified on the
rating plate.
3. Do not cover the heater to avoid overheating.
4. Never leave the heater unattended when in use. Always switch off and unplug the unit
after use.
5. Be cautious when using near small children or persons with disabilities.
6. Do not place the heater directly below an electrical socket.
7. Do not run cord under carpeting or cover with rugs or furniture. Keep the cord away
from congested areas where it cannot be tripped over.
8. If the heater, cord or plug is damaged, do not operate the unit.
9. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
10. Avoid using an extension cord – it could overheat and cause a fire hazard.
11. Use the heater in a well-ventilated area. Do not block any openings on the product to
prevent overheating. Do not use on soft surfaces (beds, sofas etc), where openings
may become blocked. Use the heater on flat, dry and clean surfaces.
12. Do not store or use this heater near flammable materials, surfaces or substances (at
least 1m from the front of the unit), such as petrol or paint.
13. Do not use this heater near baths, showers or swimming pools.
14. Never touch the heater with wet hands.
15. This heater is hot during use – do not touch to avoid burns.
16. Before moving the unit, ensure it is unplugged and has cooled down for at least 15
minutes. If provided, use handles when moving the product.
17. Do not use other electrical devices with the same circuit as your heater – this can
cause an overload.
18. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
19. Children must be supervised, ensuring they do not play with the appliance.
