6. Hygiene and Water Quality

The appliance may only be used with water of drinking water quality.
To guarantee the water quality, water must be drawn off regularly so that the entire
water content is replaced daily. This applies to chilled water and sparkling water.
If daily use is not possible, we recommend that you ensure that the water is completely
exchanged before using it again.
To do this, tap 3× sparkling water for 15 seconds at a time and then 3× chilled water

Long period of non-use

Note: In ambient / warm water germs can multiply faster. Therefore, leave your
water system switched on even during long periods of non-use.
During longer periods of non-use, e.g. due to holidays, the system should remain in
operating mode and not be switched off. Before using the unit again, the water should
be completely exchanged.
If the system needs to be switched off for a long period of time, this should be done as
follows:
Switch off the appliance:
1. Turn off the water supply.
2. Tap chilled, sparkling and hot water until no more water flows to empty the
system.
3. Close the CO -supply.

4. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
Before recommissioning:
1. Reconnect the water supply. Pay attention to any leaks.
2. Open the CO -supply.

3. Reconnect the appliance to the power supply.
4. After non-use of several days: Start the CO
subpoint "System Settings") and subsequently drain at least 2 litres of cold
water from the fitting. As soon as the red LED lights up continuously, drain
hot water. Repeat the process until the LED flashes again (3× at Touch Free).
If necessary collect the water in a suitable container.
Attention! There is a scalding danger at hot water!
5. The appliance is now ready for use.
Note: If the system is not used for more than two months, the internal filter must
be replaced even if the change interval has not been reached!

Cleaning

The plastic surfaces and taps should be wiped with a slightly wet and hygienic cloth
only. Do not use abrasive or chlorine-based cleaning agents or solvents.
To prevent damage of the electronic components do not clean the undersink unit and
tap with a water jet.
We recommend cleaning the tap and the tap spout with CLAGE Desinfekt at regular
