OPERATING HINTS AND TIPS

Take special care when mowing on uneven or irregular ground.
The machine may tip over and cutting-means may throw out
objects which were hidden.
Keep the 4 wheels firmly on the ground.
Control the direction of the machine using the handle and not by
exerting pressure on the cutting-means enclosure with your foot.
CAUTION:
• When mowing around an obstacle, be careful that the cutting-means
does not hit it. Never push the machine directly over an object.
• When mowing an uneven area, do not let yourself be pulled along by
the machine. Hold the handle firmly and control its movements.

MOWING PROCEDURE

Read the safety instructions before starting to mow.
Using self-propelling system:
Always release the drive clutch lever when engaging the
cutting-means control lever. If drive clutch is engaged, the
machine will move when the motor is started.
1. Start the motor and engage the cutting-means.
- While pressing the yellow button [1], pull the cutting-means
control lever [2]. The cutting-means start rotating, slowly push
the Select Drive control [3] to propel the machine forward.

3. Should the mower not
move forward, additional
power may be required
which can be achieved by
adjusting the Select Drive
control knob [5] in the "+"
direction.
4. Once you have achieved
your preferred mowing
speed by pushing down
the Select Drive control [3]
in combination with the
appropriate Select Drive
control knob [5] setting,
you can commence
mowing at your preferred
constant speed.
5. Push the Select Drive control [3] with your thumbs into the
indentation for boost operation when additional power is
required to maintain your desired mowing speed (for example,
when encountering a slope or other change in ground
conditions). Once the terrain or ground conditions return to
normal, you simply release the boost.
NOTE: The Select Drive control knob [5] allows you to adjust the
level of power used to propel the mower. The adjustment range is
from "-" to "+" power. The level of power required to achieve a
preferred ground speed is dependent upon the combination of terrain
conditions, grass conditions and your preferred mowing speed.
6. Push the Quiet mode button [6] to decrease the motor speed
(2 600 to 2 200 min -1 ) and the LED light will be turned on.
Press the button again, the motor speed is returned to the
original and the LED light will be turned off.
7. To stop the machine moving forward.
- Release the Select Drive control [3].
8. To stop the cutting-means rotating.
- Release the cutting-means control lever [2].
