Troubleshooting

Fault
The displayed value of the emission power
(W/m²) is unusually low.
There is water in the emitter protection tube.
The UV-Control II displays the error message
!LAMP! out.
If the fault cannot be remedied by following these tips, contact our after-sales service department.

Cause
The UV transmission of the drinking water
is too low (water quality does not meet
requirements)
The water contains iron or manganese,
which form deposits relatively quickly.
The emitters have already been run for
more than their service life (EOL).
The line that runs along the emitter is
directly in front of the sensor.
One or more emitters faulty
Sensor malfunction
Air bubbles have gathered in front of the
sensor window
Sensor signal has been distorted by elec-
tromagnetic interference (EMC) (circulation
pump starting, etc.)
Condensation can form when the unit is
operated without the blue protective cap.
Emitter defective
Ballast is faulty
Contact fault in the emitter signal cable
Supply network fluctuations
Remedy
The feed water must be treated (filtration)
Remove deposits on emitter casing tube and
sensor window, replace emitter casing tube as
required.
Replace emitter.
Rotate emitter slightly.
Replace emitter.
Replace sensor.
Relieve pressure on the stainless steel radiation
chamber and remove and re-install sensor win-
dow.
Eliminating the interference signal
Check installation of the emitter casing tube and
seals.
Check that the blue protective cap is in the correct
position and replace the O-ring if necessary.
Inspect or replace the emitter.
Replace the ballasts.
Check emitter signal cable.
