Cleaning the glass of the UVC sensor unit

The UVC sensor unit consist of the following components:
A
Welded bushing with o-ring
B
Measuring window
C
UVC-Sensor
D
Coupling ring
● Close the shut-off valves. Drain the unit.
● Remove the sensor cable and unscrew the coupling ring (D). Re-
move the UVC sensor from the measuring window, check the glass
surface of the sensor for deposits and, if necessary, clean with a
soft cloth.
● Unscrew the UV sensor (B) from the welded bushing (A). Clean the
glass pane with a soft cloth.
● Reverse the procedure to assemble the unit. When reassembling,
make sure that the o-ring sits properly in the welded bushing. Ensure
that no dirt or water enter the measuring window.
● Open the shut-off valves up- and downstream of the unit.
● The unit is now ready for use.

Changing the emitter

The expected service life of our UV emitters is 10,000 – 14,000 operating
hours. When the total emitter activations and operating hours passes
10,000, the "h" in the running time meter flashes to alert you to the fact
that the emitter has to be changed. Replace the emitter after 14,000
operating hours at the latest. Replace all emitters at the same time if
the unit has more than one emitter.
● Remove mains plug.
● Close the shut-off valves.
● Loosen both setscrews (7) of the blue protective cap (11).
● Remove the blue protective cap (11) and pull the plug (10)
from the UVC emitter.
● Remove the UVC emitter (9).
● Insert and connect a new emitter. Ensure that the plugs (10)
are inserted properly.
● Attach the blue protective cap (11) and secure it with both setscrews
(7).
WARNING!
Ultraviolet Radiation!
Risk of damage to eyes and skin!
►UV emitters must only be started in the unit
when the blue protective cap (11) is mounted
►Never look through sensor window with
unprotected eyes.
►Use your personal protective equipment -
safety goggles.
● Open the shut-off valves up- and downstream of the unit.
Note: The running time meter on the UV-Control II controller must be
reset when the emitters are changed (see UV-Control II installation
and operating instructions).
● The unit is now ready for use.
