INAPPROPRIATE USE

Is any use beyond those covered by the intended use:
• e.g. operation with different operating media, pressures
• withdrawal of LPG from the liquid phase
• changes to the product or to parts of the product
• installation in LPG tanks which are not non-pressurized or neutralised
• use in outdoor areas protected against the weather conditions
• operation with open outlet or test connection

USER QUALIFICATION

Equipment and systems requiring supervision may be operated only by persons aged at least
18, who are physically capable and who have the necessary specialist knowledge or who
have been instructed by a competent person. Instruction at regular intervals, but at least once
per year, is recommended.
Replacement by a company that specialises in explosion protection (ATEX Directive
1999/92/EC).
This product may be installed and maintained only by qualified experts.
These staff must have participated in training which included instruction in the following,
among other things:
• Various protection types and installation procedures
• Directives and regulations that apply to this product
• General principles of EX zoning
This device fulfils the requirements for intrinsically safe equipment within the meaning of EN
60079-0, EN 60079-11 and EN 60529.

Explanation of qualification
Qualified personnel
is anyone who can assess the work based on their specialist training, knowledge and
experience as well as knowledge of the applicable standards, and identify possible hazards.
Electrically skilled person
is anyone capable of carrying out work on electrical systems based on their specialist training,
knowledge and experience as well as knowledge of the applicable standards and provisions,
and to identify and avoid possible hazards independently.
Trained personnel
is anyone who has been instructed about their tasks to be carried out and possible hazards
caused by improper behaviour, and trained, if applicable, and who has been taught about the
necessary protective equipment and safety measures.
