Assembly instructions for connections
• Assembly is always done with an open-end wrench or special accessories.
• Inlet connector

• Test connection
• When connecting the safety pressure gauge or test connection, the maximum tightening
torque of 25Nm must not be exceeded.
• Never use a pipe wrench.
• After installation and while the LPG tank is still non-pressurised and neutralised, it is
advisable to carry out a limit indicator test.
• The technical leak-tightness of the connections should then be checked before start-up of
the LPG tank/LPG system. The LPG tank may only be released for possible start-up if the
technical leak-tightness requirement has been fulfilled.

• When connecting the pressure regulator, observe the manufacturer's assembly manual.
• A tightening torque of 40 to 60Nm is recommended for correct installation.

• Keep the welding sleeve of the LPG tank and the male
thread of the overfill prevention device free of grease and
contamination.
• Apply sealing material to the male thread of the overfill
prevention device. If you are using PTFE tape, make sure
that it overlaps the first bottom thread pitch. Do not apply
any additional lubricant so as to achieve a metallic seal of
the NPT thread.
• Loosely screw the overfill prevention device on the
housing into the LPG tank sleeve by hand.
• Using a size 36 spanner (e.g. special accessories order
no. 55 253-00), ensure that the tightening torque is
applied to the wrench flat on the housing intended for this.
• Screw the overfill prevention device only in a clockwise
direction (only in the tightening direction) and tighten it
with a tightening torque of 120Nm. Align the POL
connection on the fitting with the tank axis. Do not exceed
the maximum tightening torque of 160Nm!
