INAPPROPRIATE USE

All uses exceeding the concept of intended use:
• e.g. operation using different media, pressures
• use of gases in the liquid phase
• installation against the flow direction
• operation with inappropriate hose assemblies
• changes to the product or parts of the product
• installation differs from installation position (see page 15)
• operation with rotary knob in intermediate position
• withdrawal from horizontal gas cylinders
• operation without downstream low pressure regulator
• use at ambient temperature varying from: see TECHNICAL DATA
• gas cylinder freezing:
If LPG is withdrawn too quickly or is continuously withdrawn from the cylinder on
the operating side, the temperature of the gas falls and, as a result, the cylinder pressure
drops below the required inlet pressure of the regulator. LPG is then also withdrawn from the
spare cylinder.
Proper operation of the system is no longer guaranteed.
The LPG cylinders on both sides may be emptied simultaneously or also at different
rates.

USER QUALIFICATION

This product may be installed only by qualified experts. These are personnel who are familiar
ith setting up, installing, starting up, operating and maintaining this product.
"Equipment and systems requiring supervision may be operated only by persons aged at
least 18, who are physically capable and who have the necessary specialist knowledge or
who have been instructed by a competent person. Instruction at regular intervals, but at least
once per year, is recommended.

FUNCTION DESCRIPTION

Automatic changeover valves (AUV) are used in multiple cylinder systems to supply a 2
stage pressure regulator.
• Automatic changeover to the reserve gas cylinder(s) as soon as the gas cylinder(s) on the
operating side is/are empty.
• The gas cylinder can be replaced without interrupting operation.
• Only alternating withdrawal is possible.
• Display of which side the gas is supplied from and when the gas cylinder(s) is/are empty.
• The non-return valve installed in the inlet nozzle prevents unintentional gas leakage when
changing the cylinders.
• Even gas supply through the optimum use of the gas cylinder content.
For power over 4 kg/h, the automatic changeover valve assumes the function of the 1
pressure regulator.
