Einbau des Kreisels
Bitte beachten Sie für eine optimale Funktion des Kreisels die
folgenden Hinweise.
1. Obwohl der Kreisel durch seine konstruktiven Merkmale sehr
gut vor Vibrationen geschützt ist, muss er dennoch so im
Hubschrauber platziert werden, dass er möglichst wenig von
Schwingungen beeinträchtigt wird. Andernfalls besteht die
Gefahr, dass der Kreisel nicht optimal funktioniert.
Überprüfen Sie in regelmäßigen Abständen, ob der Kreisel
noch gut befestigt ist.
2. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Anschlüsse nicht straff und
gespannt verlegt werden. Benutzen Sie das beigefügte
Doppelklebeband.
3. Bauen Sie den Kreisel so in Ihrem Heli ein, dass er möglichst
nicht direkt an metallischen Komponenten platziert wird, oder
diese gar berührt. Das Gehäuse schirmt elektromagnetische
Strahlung ab, ist daher aber leitfähig.
4. Montieren Sie den Kreisel unbedingt
so, dass sein Boden exakt einen Win-
kel von 90° zur Hochachse des
Modells einnimmt. Der Kreisel muss
genau 90° zur Antriebsachse stehen,
wie im Bild dargestellt.
5. Auch wenn dieser Kreisel gut vor Temperaturschwankungen
geschützt ist, sollte er nicht in der Nähe von Wärmequellen im
Modell angebracht werden. Die Neutralposition könnte sich
sonst verändern. Aus diesem Grund lassen Sie bei einem
Tem-
peraturwechsel, wie er zum Beispiel bei einem Einsatz im
Winter vorkommen kann, wenn Sie das Modell aus dem war-
men Auto nehmen und in kalter Umgebung einsetzen wollen,
den Kreisel sich erst der neuen Temperatur anpassen. Nach
etwa 10 Min. hat sich der Kreisel auf die neue Umgebungs-
temperatur eingestellt und kann betrieben werden.
6. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Akku für die Bordspannungsver-
sor-
gung voll geladen ist.
7. Nach dem Einschalten muss der Kreisel erst initialisiert
werden. Dieser Vorgang dauert et-wa 3 Sek., während dieser
Zeit darf der Hubschrauber, darf das Modell und der Heck-
rotorsteuerknüppel am Sender keinesfalls bewegt werden.

GB - Mounting the gyro
Please note the following information for optimal function of the
gyro.
1. Although this Gyro has been constructed to resist vibration
and it's negative effects as far as possible, it should still be
mounted in such a way that it will be protected from any
potential source of vibration. Failure to mount the unit
correctly will reduce it's efficiency and could lead to damage.
Inspect the Gyro regularly to ensure that it remains correctly
mounted.
2. Check that the cables an connections are not under tension.
Use the included double-sided tape.
3. Mount the unit in a position where it cannot come into contact
with any metal item as the case of the unit is designed to
shield the components from electromagnetic 'noise' but due
to it's being made of metal it can conduct electrostatic.
4. Mount the unit so that it's base is
parallel along the axis of the model
and ensure that it is vertical as shown
in the illustration.
5. We have constructed this Gyro to be insensitive to
temperature changes which improves the units stability.
However it should still be located as far away as possible from
any potential heat source as changes in temperature may
lead to drift. For this reason it is important to allow the Gyro to
'acclimatise' before flying and will be noticeable when flying
in winter in cases where the model is removed from a warm
car. Always allow the Gyro at least 10 minutes to adjust to the
air temperature before switching it on.
6. Always ensure that the receiver power supply (battery) is fully
charged.
7. On switching on the Gyro it will set itself and this process
takes around 3 seconds. During this time it is vital that the
Gyro itself or the tail rotor stick are not moved.
