OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

DISCONNECT THE LATHE FROM THE
MAINS BEFORE CONTINUING!
Indexing Facility
The indexing facility is useful for fluted columns, clock faces and
accurate hole positioning. The index pulley has 24 positions,
see fig 10-11.

Panel handle
1. Open the headstock access panel, pull out the indexing pin
knob to the rear of headstock and turn until its in the
unlocked position, see fig 12.

2. Rotate the spindle by turning the headstock operating
wheel, lower the indexing pin knob until the pin engages
into one of 24 indexing slots, see fig 13-14. Replace the
access panel.

Removing the Drive & Live Centres
Locate the 'push rod' (E), insert it through the centre of the
spindle operating wheel to push out the drive centre (F),
see fig 15. Repeat for the live centre (G)
