Advance checks
Check the following before driving off:
Whether the lights are working,
ƒ
ƒ The battery voltage on the display (see page
28),
ƒ The tyre pressure (see
'Maintenance'),
ƒ Whether the freewheel lever is pointing down
(electric driving position, see page 20),
Whether the battery charger has been removed.
ƒ
ƒ Make sure additional loads are only carried in
the basket B (maximum load: 3kg) or on the
accessory point U (maximum load: 10kg)
Getting in and out by yourself
Attention:
ƒ Make sure that the seat is properly locked in
place before driving off.
Getting in/out
1. Push the seat lever (O)* down.
2. Rotate the seat a quarter turn anticlockwise or
clockwise.
3. Get in or out.
4. Rotate the seat back again until you hear a click.
The seat is now locked in place.
Starting
Always turn off the scooter when entering or exiting
the scooter. When the scooter is turned off, the time
is displayed
1. Insert the key in the ignition (Q).
2. Turn the key a quarter turn clockwise.
3. Wait until the battery indication appears on the
display.
The mobility scooter is now ready to drive.
Warning:
ƒ Do not use the scooter if it is behaving
abnormally or erratically

Do not operate the scooter with depleted
ƒ
batteries, since the user can be stranded
Speed
The speed can be adjusted for either indoor or out-
door use by selecting the high or low function (H/L).
Warning:
ƒ Adjust your speed before steering into a bend.
The bend speed limiter will not adjust your
speed until the bend is too tight. The scooter
may overturn.
ƒ Despite the small turning circle of the mobility
scooter, it may still be difficult to ride into lifts
or doorways. Make sure that you always use the
correct low speed setting for tight manoeuvring.
Attention:
ƒ Adjust your speed using the throttle lever. The
speed settings determine how fast you can go if
you squeeze the throttle lever all the way.
ƒ Check that the road behind you is clear when
reversing.
ƒ The mobility scooter reverses more slowly than
when it drives forward.
ƒ An alarm can be heard when reversing.
ƒ Upon request, your dealer can change the
control (method) of the throttle lever.
By default the speedometer is set to 6 blocks, which
is 100% of the total power. By default the maximum
speed is set to 9 mph (15 km/h). Your dealer can
adjust the speed setting for you.
1. Press the + or - button to adjust the speed
setting.
