System settings

The setup menu (see section 6.2.4) allows access to the
various setting options of the RVP 3900:

Systems

COM port
Setup

Event history
Pressing the "Settings" touch button opens the "Systems"
window with further setting options (see section 7.2).
Selected settings are adopted directly. It is not necessary to
confirm separately via a button.

For security reasons, some functions are protected by
passwords against accidental or unauthorised operation.
7.1

User login

The Dräger RVP 3900 has a user administration system that
contains different roles. Specific rights are assigned to each
role. The user rights accumulate as they increase. This means
that all higher-level roles also include the rights of the lower-
level roles. The lowest-level role is the "View Only" role.

No operations are possible without user registration.

To provide protection against unauthorised access, it is
recommended to replace the default usernames and
passwords with individual usernames and passwords.

Pressing the "User selection" button opens a pop-up window.
Pressing the "Enter" button opens the login window.
Use the keyboard to enter a valid login name and the corres-
ponding password; confirm each entry with the "Enter" button.
When signing in as an administrator, all areas provided with a
password are enabled for operation in this window.
Further details on the administration of users are provided in
section 7.2.5.
7.2

Settings

Pressing the Settings touch button takes you directly to the
"Systems" view. Selected settings are adopted directly. It is not
necessary to separately use a button to carry out an action or
implement a change.
7.2.1
Systems
By default, no controller is activated when the device is first
switched on. In order for the connected controllers to be
visualised, they must first be activated. To activate deactivated
controllers, press the corresponding button.
Systems and controllers that are not activated are highlighted
with a red frame.
