Swim-tec CL2 Deluxe pH/Rx
3.1
Setpoint pH: [ 7.20 ]
The setpoint sets the desired pH for the pool
water. When the setpoint is exceeded or under-
shot, the dosing pump is activated. The default
setting created by the manufacturer is for
dosing pH-Minus.
If you want to convert from pH-Minus to
pH-Plus dosing, please see section chapter
3.4 below.
3.2
Min. Alarm (↓): [ 6.80 ]
Lower alarm level which triggers an alarm if
undershot. The alarm appears in the dis-
play.
3.3
Max. Alarm (↑): [ 7.60 ]
Upper alarm value, which triggers an alarm
if exceeded. The alarm appears in the dis-
play.
3.4
p – band: [ -1.00 ]
You can use this function to define two
basic settings in the control unit:
Dosing direction for pH – value:
With a negative p - band [ -1.00 ] the dosing
pump is activated if the setpoint is excee-
ded. This setting is used to apply pH – Mi-
nus chemicals.
With a positive p – band [ 1.00 ] the dosing
pump is activated if the setpoint is under-
shot.
This setting is used to apply pH – Plus che-
micals.
Note: When changing between pH-Minus
and pH-Plus water treatment products, the
dosing pipe must be flushed with water and
the injection valves must be cleaned.
Regulation slope
The figure gives the p-band ie the regulation
slope. Usual values are –1.00/1.00 depending on
dosing direction.
Meaning: For a p – band of 1,00 the dosing
pump works at full performance when the mea-
sured value deviates from the setpoint by 1
pH.
If the real measured value within the p-band ap-
proaches the setpoint, the dosing performance
decreases proportionately. That is, if the deviati-
on is e.g.   pH the pump works at only 50
% of maximum performance.
3.5
I-reset time: [ 0 sec ]
The default manufacturer's setting must not be
changed.
3.6
D-action time: [ 0 sec ]
The default manufacturer's setting must not be
changed.
3.7
Min. Output: [ 10 % ]
The control unit calculates the percentage
dosing performance of a given pump de-
pending on the deviation of the measuring
of the setpoint. A minimum output of e.g.
10% means that all calculated values < 10%
are automatically raised to a minimum perfor-
mance of 10%. That is, the control unit works
with a base load for small deviations.
3.8
Max. Output: [ 100 %]
The control unit calculates the percentage dos-
ing performance of a given pump depending on
the deviation of the measuring of the setpoint.
A maximum output of e.g. 80% means that all
calculated values > 80% are automatically re-
duced to a maximum performance of 80%. This
reduces the dosing pump performance.
